Chat Leads

How to use Chat Leads

Quick reference for the buckets, quick-action pills, scripts, and the search workflow.

What this tool does

Finds businesses (lawyers, mortgage brokers, contractors) that don't already have a chatbot, scrapes their site for a contact form, emails, phone numbers, and the owner / founder / partner, and drafts a per-niche outreach message you can copy and send.

Running a search

  1. Pick a Pillar (Legal / Mortgage / Contractor)
  2. Pick a Niche from the dropdown (e.g. immigration lawyer, injury lawyer, plumber)
  3. Type a city and region (e.g. Toronto / Ontario)
  4. Choose country
  5. Toggle Drop sites with a chatbot (default on) — skip companies that already chat.
  6. Toggle Reachable only if you only want leads with a form or email.
  7. Click Find chat leads. Run takes ~30–60s depending on results.

Tip: the Industry filter on the dashboard is a dropdown of every niche actually present in your current bucket. Use it to keep an immigration-lawyer pitch from accidentally going to a personal-injury firm.

The buckets (top nav)

  • Dashboard — freshly imported leads (status=new).
  • Form filled — leads you submitted the contact form for.
  • LinkedIn req — leads you've sent a LinkedIn connection request to.
  • LinkedIn pitch — connection accepted; you've sent the pitch on LinkedIn.
  • Has chat system — leads that already have a chatbot. Not a no — possible upgrade pitch.
  • NA — not applicable: not a fit, dead site, shouldn't be approached.
  • Guide — this page.
  • Settings — view pillar + niche scripts.

Quick-action pills (each row)

Click any pill on a lead row to move it to that bucket:

  • ✓ Form filled — submitted their contact form.
  • ➤ LinkedIn req — sent a LinkedIn connection request.
  • ✉ LinkedIn pitch — connection accepted, pitch sent over LinkedIn.
  • 💬 Has chat system — they already have chat; revisit later.
  • ✗ NA — not applicable; covers not-a-fit and dead sites.

Once a lead is actioned, it disappears from the current view and lives in its destination tab. If you change your mind, open the lead detail page and use the status dropdown to move it anywhere — including back to new.

Lead detail page

Click a company name in the dashboard table to open its detail page. You get:

  • Company website link + Open contact form deep-link (skip hunting for /contact).
  • Detection: which chat widgets we fingerprinted, what the form looks like, all scraped emails and phones.
  • Founders: name + verbatim title (Founder / Owner / Principal / Managing Partner / Sole Practitioner / Of Counsel / etc.) plus individual email + phone when their bio page lists them.
  • Outreach draft: click Generate to render a personalized draft.
  • Status dropdown: pick any status manually if the quick-action pills don't cover what you want.

Outreach scripts

Two layers:

  • Pillar scripts — one per pillar (Legal / Mortgage / Contractor). Generic fallback. When Curtis clicks Generate, Claude rewrites the bridge paragraph in three voices (casual / direct / detailed).
  • Niche scripts (overrides) — one per niche keyword. e.g. immigration lawyer uses Curtis's canonical immigration script. Niche scripts are used verbatim — no Claude rewriting — so the wording stays exactly as Curtis wrote it.

Edit either layer directly in Supabase Table Editor: pillars.script_body or niche_scripts.script_body. Changes flow through immediately the next time you click Generate.

Re-searches and dedup

When the same company is rediscovered by a later search, its detection data (chatbot, form, emails, founders) gets refreshed but its status and notes are preserved. So if you mark someone NAtoday, re-running Toronto lawyers tomorrow won't bump them back to the New bucket.

The ↻ Clear searches button (top-right of the Dashboard) wipes the New bucket and search history but leaves actioned leads alone. Use it when you want to start a clean run on a different city/niche without the previous results mixing in.

Common gotchas

  • If a Google Places search returns 0, the niche text might be too narrow. Try the broader version (e.g. lawyer instead of solo immigration appeals counsel).
  • Multiple searches dump into the same New bucket — use the Industry filter dropdown to isolate a single niche.
  • Founder emails / phones only show up when the firm publishes them on the bio page. Many firms hide behind a generic info@ or a form. Future option: link a Linked Sales-Nav / Apollo enrichment to fill the gaps.
